Have you ever needed specific information for one of your files or folders?
Or, have you ever needed to change the details that are displayed in a
folder? If you answered yes to either of those questions, this tip is for
you! This tip show you how to change the list views for your files and
folders in Windows XP. Let's go!

You can display files and folders in a variety of different ways, depending
on what you want to see and do. When you view your files and folders in the
Details mode, a default list of file and folder information appears,
including the Name, Size, Type and Date Modified. But what if that default
list doesn't provide the information you need? Well, you can add (or remove)
as much information as you wish. Here's how:

1.) First, go to Start, My Documents. 2.) Once you're there, single click on
the file or folder you want to change.
3.) Next, click on the View menu.
4.) Scroll down and then click on Choose Details.

The Choose Details dialogue box will then appear.

5.) You can now select the checkboxes with the details you want to include
or you can clear out the ones you don't want.
6.) Click the Move Up or Move Down buttons to change the order of the
selected items.
7.) Click the Show or Hide buttons to either show or hide the selected
items.
8.) When you're all set, just click OK.

That's it. You can now view your files and folders with the specific
information you

need!

You can save your computer maintenance cost if you clean your computer on
the regular basis.

This will improve the cooling and performance of the computer components.
Your computer components could damage, if you do not keep it clean on
periodically basis, because dust is the main cause to heat up your system
and heat link to hardware failure.

* Never place your computer on the ground, always use computer table or
shelf for this purpose.

* To clean computer case first unplugs your system power from the electrical
outlet. Remove all cables and connectors from the back side of your
computer.

* Now blow the air around all the hardware components and keeping away your
blower nozzle 4 to 5 inches away from main board components. You can use
vacuum cleaner also for this purpose but compressed air is the better
solution to clean a system.

* At the end using lightly dampened cloth or spray any cleaning fluids on
the computer case and use paper towel to dry it.

* Never clean inside computer components or other circuit board with damp or
wet cloth.

* Always be careful to eat or drink around
thecomputer.

If you find the need to change a drive letter, Windows 2000 makes this
possible. Here's how:
In the Control Panel, select Administrative Tools. The Administrative Tools
folder will pop up.

In that folder, select Computer Management.
Click on Disk Management and wait for the Logical Disk Manager Service to
finish scanning your system's drives. You will then see a list of the drives
available in your system. 1. Click on the drive with the drive letter you
want to change.

   2. Right click and select the Change Drive Letter and Path… option.

   3. All drive letters linked to that drive will be listed on this popup
screen.

   4. Click on the drive letter you want to change and click on Edit.

   5. Click on the drive letter and a whole list of available drive letter
choices will now appear.

   6. Select the drive letter you want for this drive.

   7. Click OK and your drive will have a new drive letter.

Notes: You will not be able to change the drive letter of your system or
boot volume. However, the drive letters of all other drives and drive
volumes are changeable.

If you want to change the drive letter of a CD/DVD-ROM or ZIP drive, make
sure you insert a disk first. The drive letter cannot be changed unless
there's a disk in the drive.

Some software may not work properly if you change any drive letter. So, you
may need to do some registry editing to get that software to work with the
new drive letter. If that doesn't work, you will have to reinstall the
software using the new drive letter or reset the drive letter back to its
original drive

letter.

The first day of school our professor introduced himself and challenged us
to get to know someone we didn't already know. I stood up to look around
when a gentle hand touched my shoulder. I turned around to find a wrinkled,
little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that that lit up her entire
being.

"Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?" I asked.




She jokingly replied, "I'm here to meet a rich husband, get married, have a
couple of children, and then retire and
travel."



"No seriously," I asked. I was curious what may have motivated her to be
taking on this challenge at her
age.



"I always dreamed of having a college education and now I'm getting one!"
she told me. 



After class we walked to the student union building and share a chocolate
milkshake. We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months we
would leave class together and talk nonstop. I was always mesmerized
listening to this "time machine" as she shared her wisdom and experience
with me. 



Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus icon and she easily made
friends wherever she went. She loved to dress up and she reveled in the
attention bestowed upon her from the other students. She was living it
up.



At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet.
I'll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to
the podium. As she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped her
three by five cards on the floor. Frustrated and a little embarrassed she
leaned into the microphone and simply said, "I'm sorry I'm so jittery. I
gave up beer for Lent and this whiskey is killing me! I'll never get my
speech back in order so let me just tell you what I
know."



As we laughed she cleared her throat and began: "We do not stop playing
because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing. There are only few
secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success. "You have to
laugh and find humor every day. You've got to have a dream. When you lose
your dreams, you die. We have so many people walking around who are dean and
don't even know it!" 



"There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up. If you are
nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and don't do one
productive thing, you will turn twenty years old. If I am eighty-seven years
old and stay in bed for a year and never do anything I will turn
eighty-eight. Anybody can grow older. That doesn't take any talent or
ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding the opportunity in
change." 



"Have no regrets. The elderly usually don't have regrets for what we did,
but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are
those with regrets."

She concluded her speech by courageously singing The Rose. She challenged
each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our daily lives. At the
years end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those years
ago.

One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep.

Remember : GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY, GROWING UP IS
OPTIONAL.

If you have an external hard drive and made an image of leopard copy, but
don't have any dual layered disks lying around, you can always use an
external hard drive to install Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. This is incredibly
easy, and works with both USB and Firewire hard drives:

1. Plug in your external hard drive

2. Open up Disk Utility

3. Click on the name of your external harddrive

4. Click on the "Restore" tab

5. In the "Source" field, select the image file (such as leopard.dmg) from
wherever it is on your hard drive

6. In the "Destination" field, drag your external hard drive from the Disk
Utility drive list on the left onto this field. Of course, if it's only a
partition on the external drive that you want to use, drag only the
partition.

Note: anything on the partition will be erased and replaced with the
installation files for Leopard. Therefore, it is best to make a partition on
the external hard drive which has about 8 gigabytes. Use this partition as
the destination so that everything else on the drive remains unchanged.

7. Click on restore. This may take awhile.

8. Once its done, open up System Preferences

9. Click on Startup Disk

10. Select the external hard drive (or partition in it) with the Leopard
Install

11. Click Restart. The leopard installation will begin from the external
hard drive. This installation is identical to installing leopard with
aDVD.

Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true?




A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it.. Don't waste
them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart
will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of
your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.




Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?




A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and
corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an
efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat
chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy
vegetable).



Q: Should I reduce my alcohol
intake?



A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that
means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the
goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up!




Q: How can I calculate my body/fat
ratio?



A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If
you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.




Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise
program? 



A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good!




Q: Aren't fried foods bad for
you?



A: You're not listening Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In
fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for
you?



Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the
middle? 



A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should
only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.




Q: Is chocolate bad for me?



A: Are you crazy? HELLO Cocoa beans! Another vegetable. It's the best
feel-good food around!




Q: Is swimming good for your
figure?



A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.




Q: Is getting in-shape important for my
lifestyle?



A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape! ! Well, I hope this has cleared up any
misconceptions you may have had about food and
diets.

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy
family.



The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's
guest 
room.



Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold
basement.



As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the
wall and repaired
it.



When the younger angel asked why, the older angel
replied,



"Things aren't always what they
seem."



The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very
hospitable farmer and his wife.




After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in
their bed where they could have a good night's rest.

When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his
wife in 
tears.



Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the
field.



The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you
have let this 
happen?



The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she
accused.



The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you
let the cow 
die.



"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel
replied.



"When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, noticed there was gold
stored in that hole in the
wall.



Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good
fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find
it."



"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for
his wife. I gave him the cow
instead.
