Hi Shaun,
Perhaps, but one could just as easily finger the real offender in the
case. If someone reacts violently the responcibility still lies with the

Hi Shaun,
Oh, yeah. I have violent games on my system as well. SOD comes to mind.
I enjoy cutting down and slottering monsters by the score, but when it

Hi Nicol,
Upuntil now no one in the accessible games market has decided on a game
rating system. We have discussed it a time or two, but came to no
conclusions.
Sometimes it is hard to decide what catagory a game falls in to. Take my
revised STFC project or the original STFC for that matter.
For those that are playing agt games have you tried modifying the batch
files that start up those games and putting the /v parameter on the line
that actually runs the executables right after the name of the executable?
I did that awhile back and ffor agt games that made them all work well
Hi Bryan,
Yeah, I don't know where some of these parents are when these kids are

ones to point the finger at the game rather than little Jonnie's actions.
When I was growing up one or both of my parents knew what games I

You'd have to drop to impulse to dock with a station. Other wise you

hmmm, I could think of a lot of situations where you might benefit from
using impulse and/or thrusters, and even your own momentum. I'm thinking
hiding in a nebula waiting somebody out or all sorts of things!
Anyway, things like that could easily be for a mark 2 or a game people would
pay for!

Hi Lisa,
I do have a son, and I agree. He isn't old enough to begin playing
games, but in a couple of years I'll start him out on classic arcade
games like space invaders, Packman, etc which I feel is appropriate for
children. Sure there is some violence in those games, but it is very low
key.
Hi Lisa,
Yes, that is a good point. The visual aspect of games is becoming
extremely realistic. I suppose at some level it is getting young
children and adults use to the sight of blood and guts.
The rated M games are extremely disturbing to me at the level of
graphical representation of death,
