I'm trying out materia magica with the Vip mud client, though unfortunately due
to a crash when i was first researching this, I've lost all demo abilities and
am playing with the slimmed down version.
I was wondering if people had any tips, sinse i find locating npcs and places a
right
I couldn't sleep because I fell asleep too early Friday evening. So
played some Pipe, game stats follow. BTW, i put this on

Hmm. I forgot the commands to mak the map non-graphical and turn into
compus exits, though I forgot how. It is, though, indeed possible.

I've turned off the map aand compass and got the exits showing, but
that doesn't stop me from getting lost, or from getting munched by
various enemies which seems to happen alot.

list traffic is fine and all but would be a good idea to keep that thing
updated with links, etc so that we never had issues with invalid links to
various things.

Just to let everyone know. Materia Magica has this weird magic system,
where you have to find reagents for spells and such. If you don't like
hunting for reagents and stuff, don't choose it. Choose something like
warrior or Ranger.

I haven't noticed any of that. And ranger is part mage, actually. They get
spells like armor, magic dart, spark, etc. They do start with a bag of
components though, but I assume that's mostly for brewing potions and doing
things with herbalism.
Godwars2 has easily the most advanced combat system in a mud to date. You
control every single action your character performs. New moon's combat
system is very descriptive, sometimes to the point of complete unrealism. I
agree though, Materia Magica has pretty slow fights, when you're a newbie

I play on materia magica and have for about 2 years now. I enjoy the game.
As for how to know where to go, much of it is exploring. Also making friends
helps too. smiles As for getting killed a lot. heh u have to learn which
places are for which levels. I am not sure what level you
you just buy reagents in shhops though. they aren't that hard to obtain. And
to really play the game to the fullest you will eventually be all classes,
if you stick with the game anyway. When you pick a class, you advance to
level 60. You can quest during your time there or receive marks, which
rangers are actually considered a mage. in the game here is how things are
split up. the different fighter classes are as follows. barbarian who
specialize in offensive fighting arts and can use axe and get battle rage
and bash. palidin, who are the holy fighters. along with the basic fighting

All I can say about our USA Games titles is we are working on it. We
have the cross platform game engine written and are attempting to debug
it as best we can right now. There are some rather nasty bugs in the
cross platform game engine that is holding up the release of Mysteries
of
MMM, looks neat.

could always go the shoutcast rout. Honestly that's a lot easier than
