Hi all,
This is just a note from your friendly neighborhood moderator

I agree with you tom.
To be honest I have had practically no mainstream experience, I
started with nothing to blind.
I guess if I grew up with mainstream it wouldn't be as bad, but I didn't.
Its going to be a struggle to get round it.
Most of what I had training wise was by me fiddling,
Hi Shaun,
Interesting enough I haven't had a lot of formal computer training
myself. Truth is most of what I know is through direct
experimentation, trial, and error. It was only when I went to college
that I got some formal training, IE the paperwork to back up what I
actually know, but a person
Hi Charles,
Maybe, but there is a huge problem with your assumption here. You are
assuming that a game controller requires some desk space which usually
isn't the case. I can see it if the gamer is using a racing wheel or
one of those pro flight controllers as those do take up a lot of room,
but
Hi Charles,
Besides the Logitech MOMO Racing steering wheel for my Mach 1 tts game my games
of Awesome Homer, guns, Pong, Puppy 1, reaction and Triple J Shooter are more
fun to play with a joystick rather than the keyboard.
My joystick is a Saitek ST290 Pro and I think cost $50.00. the
Hi all
For the most part, audiogames.net is up and runnning again.
I can easily locate games in the database by using the combo box.
For example I select unseen alpha missions and click go and the page came up
with the info about this game.
And clicking on the url link takes me to the developer's
Hi Nicol.
I've also noticed that problem myself with the search archive function. I've
forwarded your message to Sander so hopefully he can have a look at the
issue.
In the mean time however, if you use the Gamelist link, it will show all
the games in the database, and you can click on one
Rummaging through a box of stuff I had packed when moving into this house, I
have come across a game controller. I think that Thomas Ward did a review of
it once, but I don't recall which model this is, or anything about it. I'll
describe it below in hopes that this indicates what I have.
Fastest way is to have someone with sight just read the logo sticker
on the controller. because that description could fit a lot or ones
not highly known.

No sighted people nearby, otherwise I would have done so.

Hi Charles,
Well, the description you gave of the game controller could fit any
number of gamepads as that is a fairly common description of a USB
gamepad. That said, if I reviewed it you may be talking about the
review I gave of the Philips 9009 rumblepad a few years ago.
In any case if you
I don't recall this being a rumble pad, but Phillips does ring a bell. When
I plug it in, and start a game of Aliens in the Outback, nothing happens.
When selecting to configure the joystick, none is found. I'll try it on
some other games to see how it goes. If a driver is needed, any
Well, I think I'm getting there. Anyone heard of a GGE909 PC Recoil pad? Now,
I've gotta find out what button performs what function.

Hi Charles,
Yes. Use the CD that came with the controller. It comes with the
Windows drivers as well as the software needed for calibrating the
device. The software is also necessary if you wish to use force
feedback in games that have it like Topspeed.
Cheers!

Hi Charles,
Yes. That is a Philips gamepad.
As for which buttons do what most of those are programmable. Meaning
you can assign them to any function you want if the game allows it. If
you have the profiler that came with the gamepad software you can also
remap the buttons as needed too.
Cheers!
I think I'd like to try a racing game with something other than a keyboard. My
problem is with understanding the sounds in relation to turning. I crash every
single time, and I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong. I definitely think
that some other input method would help, at least with the
Hi.
A discussion on audiogames.net about muds generally lead to questions about the

about them.and not being sure if they had any vi

I'm a huge Aetolia fan. It's a fairly dark mud, very heavy into RP. PVP is not
allowed, except in certain, very specific situations. Aetolia has a path system
that makes navigating its huge world quite easy, especially if you can't see
the map.
I've looked some at Lusternia, but haven't done

Dota is a really, really hard game. I may try to design something
like it for AA in the future, but it won't be easy and probably won't
appeal to many people.
