Hi Robin,
The game isn't an accessible game. It is a sighted game, and I believe
there are not any downloads for it.

Hi Allan,
It is a good concept/idea, but no promises from me. I have kind of
figured out how I am going to write the game, and I like challenges. One
way of making a game extremely challenging is by not providing backup.
In short you are on your own, no backup, no resupplies, and that is all
will set you free...

That's okay. It sounds good. Maybe Phil or Tom might give it a
programming try.

Hi,
You'd have to drop to impulse to dock with a station. Other wise you
would smash in to it blowing the starbase to pieces.
I don't know how much docking you will be doing in this new game though.
Almost all the missions assume you have been restocked and refueld prier
to the mission
hmmm, I could think of a lot of situations where you might benefit from
using impulse and/or thrusters, and even your own momentum. I'm thinking
hiding in a nebula waiting somebody out or all sorts of things!
Anyway, things like that could easily be for a mark 2 or a game people would
pay for!

At the moment I have not decided to add impulse to your list of drive

However, if I do add impulse it will be much slower than warp naturally.

Hi Shaun,
If you want to be absolutely technical about it starships don't turn in
warp that is true. The shielding should sustain the forces of turning,
but the real problem is calculating a flight path through subspace. If
you turn while in warp there is a large chance you will plow in to a

You really should add impulse. You can't be at warp all the time you know.

Hi David,
Yeah, I know. I was just trying to see if I could simplify things, but
I'm likely putting impulse in anyway.

Hi all,
Ok, here is an updated draft of the info on each starship. Y^ou guys
asked for a classification of average, below average, above average, etc
as well as a list of specialties which I have now included. Here is the
current draft as it stands now.
U.S.S. Bellerophon.
Intrepid-Class Light
Hi,
In some ways I like the first draft better, though I think it useful to
include the specialties. It would be good to be able to know what types of
weapon are there still, though some people won't know the difference between
the two types of phaser unless it is explained shomewhere, which

Hi David,
Actually, there are three different types of phasers in the Trek game.
Older classes such as the Excelsior-Class Explorer have a type 8 phaser
which only does about half the damage of the type 10. The newer classes
like the Sovereign-Class and Intrepid-Class carry the type 10 which
their shape and sizes.
How about listing it as Intrepid-Class (Voyager type)
Thanks,
Phil

Hi Allan,
To answer your question about choosing ships. I am working on an idea of
a sort of interactive story. You just happen to be the captain of
starship x. So in that sense once you pick that starship she is yours
until the end of the game.
One reason I am not going to allow to change
Hi Phil,
I suppose I could write up a technical guide to the ships with all the
stats for those interested in reviewing the specifics.
Your right at the time of the Dominion War U.S.S. Voyager iwas in the
Delta Quadrant trying to figure out a way home, and the Bellerophon was
seen on a few DS9
sides in chaotic battle, that would be neat.
The truth will set you free...

Hi Allan,
Actually, I have been thinking about something like your huge battle
concept. Actually, I have thought of two missions.
You know how in GTC when you reach sector 5 if you lead the tank force
out of sector 5 in sector 6 you are placed in command of the entire tank
force, and become not
Hi,
Right. The Defiant-Class can cloak, become invisible, from most types of

Hi Phil,
Well, since this game depends on the completion of the previous mission
putting in an impossible mission would make the game impossible to win.
That wouldn't be much fun.

Saying that when you dropped warp you were at an impulse speed so I

And in sertain systems you are regulated to not be able to use warp.
