Hi Charles, My thoughts as well. A 2.0 version might have some new adventures, different temples, or whatever in it. Same basic game engine, but can continue Panama's adventures by extending the original game some. Charles Rivard wrote: No problem. Besides, maybe you could get some money out

[Audyssey] Question about Monty

2007-07-08 Thread Christian
Hi Thomas and all, First, I have completed the game on easy difficulty and now going to play the normal level. I really like the game and the sound effects are great! one thing that i really hope will be in the full release is a little more random gameplay. Like monsters and other objects are

Hi Christian, While I like the concept of random item and monster placement it really defeats what I am trying to do which is recreate Montezuma's Revenge as close to the original game as possible. The original Atari version had no randomly placed items. So Monty currently has no code to do

Hi Charles, Right. The original game of Monty was about timing and memorisation of finding things. Might hurt replay value in the end, but that's just the way the games were back then. There is however areas randomness can be used like random health damage, random health restores, how long an

Hi Charles, At this point in development that is impossible. I have set a release for November and I don't want to get off track again by having to recode something that complex into the game at this very late stage of development. For a 2.0 version, maybe, but not for 1.0. (Smile) Charles

Hi Liam, Yep. You sure do. In the classic Atari version if you landed square on top of an enemy you loose a life. Well, this version preserves that trap, and I also loose plenty of lives that way. It is a tough one. You have to get good at timing your jumps, and the trick is not to land on the
