I like my refurbished hp better than the macbook pro that the office of vocational rehabilitation bought for me 4 or 5 years ago. its faster I think. of course that could be because I put 4 more gigs of ram into it. its over a year old and shows no signs of quitting. I did a lot of research before buying my refurbished laptop. I bought a few kept one or two and sold others to various people after customising them. they all work very good. and this refurbished hp has been through 3 or 4 operating systems since I got it and shows no signs of quitting. if you go to newegg.com and type in windows7 desktop hit enter then go and hit enter on the all desktops link. then on the next page check the entertainment computers checkbox and then go down the resulting list you'll see pretty many good machines on there. they're used but recertified. @Ishen, I can see what you were attempting here in terms of humour, however it fell a little flat because it wasn't quite bizarre enough or enough of an exact parody. Re: [Audyssey] amusement park rides we remember
HI Jim and tom The rides you mention sound interesting. Yes tom the sling slong is almost like the demon drop but on the sling slong, if memory serves, the people is fastened to it. They lie on a matrass. They don't stand. Then the sling slong moves upwards gradually but then it drops down suddenly. Oh yes, now I remember another ride I went on; not only at ratanga junction but also at shows when I was a kid. I'm talking of shows like shows where there are different stalls such as food stalls and clothes stalls. So its not a show like a concert show but a show consisting of many stalls. Anyway, a ride I remember from my childhood days is swings. They look like the normal swings at parks but those swings does not go up and down. They go round and round. When the swing starts, it rises a short distance into the air and then it goes round and round. What I didn't like about the swing rides, is that sometimes a person sitting on a nearby swing tries to be funny and kicks the swing I'm sitting on and then my swing would go wild. I think its unsafe if people kick other people's swings. What do you think? -Original Message- From: Gamers [mailto:gamers-boun...@audyssey.org] On Behalf Of Jim Kitchen Sent: 07 October 2014 10:22 AM To: Nicol Subject: Re: [Audyssey] amusement park rides we remember Hi Nicol, I have been to Cedar Point many times. It has been called the best roller coaster park in the world for years. I love roller coasters. The faster and more times upside down the better. But an old rickety wooden roller coaster is scarry fun as well. And one thing about ones like the raptor where you are sitting with your feet dangling in the air, is that the seat in front of you blocks the air. So I also like ones that go fast but you get all of the air in your face. More scarry for me is slow high rides like double fairiswheels and the ones that hang from a cable. They just give you too much time to think about how high you are etc. And then the person riding with you likes to rock the thing to make it even more scarry. actually, i disagree. i don't really know who this thomas person is, but he's someone on the list since i've seen at least 1 of his messages in my threads. and yes, i do agree that it shouldn't be targeted at someone individually- that's cruel. what i do think though, their is a story their this virus is infecting someone's computer, and it's your job to go and retreeve the important information before it's too late- but to make it fun, you can use diffrent methods to try and stop the virus from spreading to other areas of the computer to give you more time. it's not an entirely stupid idea, i just think it's not really been properly thought through and it's more an insult to someone than a game On 07/10/2014 13:38, tim wrote: For a 12 year old I think you seriously need to talk to some one in the professional doctor world about fixing your head or at least organizing whats in there some. Not only that but just the graphic recognition it has to do with programs. The accessibility is built into the op, but most screen readers hardly use it. that is what makes other programs work out of the box without the use of scripts. Re: [Audyssey] amusement park rides we remember - Re: suggestion for park boss
Hi Nicol, The Monkey Falls ride is commonly what we call a log ride here in the States. I have ridden on several of those, and I always enjoy those. Especially the part where the log you are riding in splashes down into the pool or lake at the end of the ride. Your Sling Slong ride reminds me of the Demon Drop at Cedar Point. The Demon Drop is basically a tall black tower with a car that holds three people. They get in, stand up in the car, and then it goes way up into the air. All of a sudden it just drops straight down. Definitely don't even think about eating lunch before taking that ride because you'll get the worst case of vertigo of your life. As for the Cobra we have some coasters here at Cedar Point and King's island that make it seem small, but all the same being suspended upside down 32 meters in the air is way up there. That is one really big loop. Just be glad you aren't sighted and aren't forced to look down while zipping along upside down in the air as that is really darn scary. Not for the faint of heart. Re: [Audyssey] park boss.
Hi Ishan, Yes, if you increase the size of your lone your interest rates will go up, but once you begin making a profit off your park you'll quickly have the lone's paid off. At least if you do it right. As to your question about the people feeling bored there could be a number of solutions to that problem. It is helpful to go around and talk to them and they will often throw hints at you such as there is not enough to do here, or they'd like to have a place to take a picnic, or something else. If you listen carefully to the hints it can often clue you into what needs to be done to increase customer satisfaction. If you really can't find out what is causing your customers to get bored adding a few more entertainers will often help with that problem, and of course the more attractions you have that helps. Besides extra rides adding games and various other forms of attractions gives them something more to do. Tiranga is a good ride. as you know that our flag is tiranga. so Fun valley started a ride called tiranga. in that you have to slide but the dangerous thing is that this slider has a water flowing system If you disbalanced you'll in the deep water which is called danger zone. you know I like it and whenever I enjoyed I started teasing girls. haha Thanks On 10/6/14, Nicol wrote: > I have been to ratanga junction once thus far. > They also have both kid rides and adult rides. > And I went on a ride called monkey falls. > Its basically a little car in the shape of a tre log. > Thrice during the ride, the ride goes up a steep ramp and then with a great > speed comes down. > And then going down the last ramp, everyone is splashed with water. > And then ratanga junction also have a ride called the cobra. > It's a looper coaster, not a roller coaster. > I didn't go on it as I'm too scared of rides going up side down. > But from what I have read on ratanga junction's website, this ride goes 32 > metres in to the air and then goes up side down. > And then another ride I remember but I am too scared to go on it. > Its called sling slong if I remember correctly. > At ratanga junction people also pays an entrance fee and then all the rides > except for sling slong is free. > Sling slong costs 30 rand if memory serves. > This ride starts off by slowly ascending 33 metres. > And then a button is pressed and the ride falls to the ground. > i.e the ride does not travel downwards, it literally falls down. > > -Original Message- > From: Gamers [mailto:gamers-boun...@audyssey.org] On Behalf Of Charles > Rivard > Sent: 05 October 2014 03:16 AM > To: Dean Masters; Gamers Discussion list > Subject: [Audyssey] amusement park rides we remember - Re: suggestion for > park boss > > When I was a kid, there was a ride I loved! Re: [Audyssey] amusement park rides we remember
Hi Nicol, I have been to Cedar Point many times. BFN Jim You're getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster. j...@kitchensinc.net http://www.kitchensinc.net (440) 286-6920 Chardon Ohio USA --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org.
