[Audyssey] TADS Interpreter Scripts for JAWS?

2010-09-16 Thread Jerry White
Hello everyone!

I would love to delve into the world of interactive fiction, but I can't get
the Jaws cursor to work well with the TADS HTML interpreter. Does anyone
know of Jaws version 10 scripts for a TADS interpreter? If not, does anyone
know of an interpreter that is easier to use than TADS HTML? I hear so many
people having fun with interactive fiction and, I have to admit I am
jealous!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Jerry

Hi Jerry,
Well, you could always try Adrift. I use Adrift a lot and most Adrift
games tend to be fairly accesssible. You might also try Winfrotz TTS
for Inform type text adventures

Cheers!

well I am not sure about inform, I never found a good windows
interpreter I Liked.

but htmol tads is good, hugo is also good.
and the new git program for inform7 is good.
if you want that go to www.lacunastory.com and get the game.
its with that and then you can run any game you want.
over those there is another interpreter I use I think.
oh the agility system.
its not really near ready for us but works.

Winfrotz interpreter 1.16 has built in support for text-to-speech to then
read all output to you using the sapi voices on your machine.

Can't remember where I found the download link though - some or other IFDB
file hosting place - sorry.

Stay well
