[Audyssey] Help with Terreformers.
Hi, Does anyone have this game? I'm stuck on the first level.. I put all the keys in the key holes on the western path after killing the robot, now I'm on the eastern path where there's three tone wheels. h i n t welcome to the infocom hint system n next p previous q quit and return to game hint 1 of 4 There is a sound flower. listen to it. 2 of 4 so the tones are from low to high pitch, f then a then c. hint 3 of 4 so turn the wheels to those pitches., note this can get confusing. make sure you find the wheels from left to right and set them. hint 4 of 4 ok turn thefirst wheel till you here f turn the second till you hear a turn the third till you hear c you should hear a f major cord and you will hear the door unlock. please press space to continue um? but this is not an infocom game, so its just me being in a retro mood then? I think so. note that when the wheels are turned or at least 2 are turned you need to listen carefully. To be honest i probably won't play the game again until or unless I get a system with a crappy analog soundmax or sb live or something because my hd realtech doesn't cut it with tf for some screwy reason. Yep, the sound flower tells you where to position the wheels. What I personally do is listen to one note, set one wheel, then go back and check, - though if I remember rightly the sound flower plays in fifths anyway. Unfortunately there really isn't another answer, it's just based upon tone recognition, but at least there's a recharge station in the same room so you don't have to worry about running out of time. hth. The game is terraformers, a firs tperson 3D adventure game found at http://www.pininteractive.com/ also it's in the audiogames.net database so go and look it up there. It's got great sounds and atmosphere, and some very interesting concepts, but it's rather short and symple in layout, and none of the puzles are that complex. I'd love to see the developers produce a larger game with the same concepts, but while they did say they had something in mind and were trying to find the resources and time to develope it nothing has been heard as yet. A shame, sinse the game has great potential but is imho far too short. Beware the grue!
