Re: [Audyssey] advanced tips for Erncon?
I think that the gold fighters are what're really worth your money, as you get double coins. The Elite Light is good because of the infinite homing missiles, but you don't get as many asteroid shots with those, and the missiles have quite a short range. The heavy fighter fires really slowly, but it has ane normous spread and quite a range. Basically you hit with at least half your shots. The gold medium is good, as I said, because of its high rate of fire and good maneuverability. The elite medium and elite heavy are ... well, odd, because the medium has the slowest rate of fire in the entire game and the heavy is about as maneuverable as a shopping cart stuck in glue. Gold Fighters, as I said, do cost coins, but they are tremendously worth it. They do more than doubling your money, useful in and of itself. They have better defensive and offensive capabilities than their normal counterparts. Good luck with the podcast. Re: [Audyssey] advanced tips for Erncon?
Hey all, I use the elite light fighter because it has homing missiles. This nearly doubles my score most of the time. I bought the regular medium fighter and wish I hadn't bothered wasting the game money. I had hoped it work better. I plan on doing a podcast on the game for Applevis this weekend, if there's time. With two kids, time's as precious as gold, but we'll see. I also have an intensive music project underway which is a very high priority for me, yet I can do one during breaks. So before I begin it, I need to know from you guys what i should cov er. It seems like a lot of material as been presented on list about this game, but that people are still quite stuck. By the way, I'd be interested to hear your highest scores. Mine is 104. [Audyssey] advanced tips for Erncon?
I posted about this before, but I don't think it got through. Sorry if it did and you're having to read basically the same question. I thought to myself the other day, if i spend a few bucks, I can unlock the elite fighter and start really kicking enemy butt. Boy was i disappointed. My score only went up about 20 points. the outcomes of the battles were a bit different--I went from shooting shooting shooting blowing up fighters then finding the next, to shooting, blowing up fighters, then flying aimlessly trying to seek out that next fighter. My high score before the elite fighter was 54. My highest with it is 74. My seven-year-old son got 182 on his third try! So, any tips for finding the ships and gems faster? How big is the playing field? Are there any obstacles, and if so, are there any sounds made when we hit them, or does it just wrap around like I would expect? I find that if I treat the game as a side scroller I do a bit better, but it's still not great. Help appreciated. This game's the best!
