Re: [Audyssey] [audyssey] Eamon question
Yep the beginner's adventures are much of a muchness generally, though I have played through them. Reading the reviews can really help though. I do advise playing the beginner's forest, sinse you can get a really! cool 2D8 sword by performing the right actions, a sword I've kept through several adventures sinse then. I had the same trouble with light in the eamon delux demo, but i'll try it again and have a more serious hunt around for a light source. As for the text issue, doing the things with the width 80 has worked for me in all the adventures I've had a bash at thus far. Beware the Grue! A couple of comments and questions however. I find that the beginner adventures are a little redundant. I THere is the initial cave, then I think it's two or three versions of it which are expanded yes, but too similar to be considered different. Is there something you are supposed to do with the boat that the pirate has in the game or is it just there? The demo where you explore the house wasn't bad after I got the correct commands *g* but didn't go far as I couldn't find a source of light in the house. The forest I think I missed something as it seemed a rather smaller game then the others. The spooks are quite a handful for sure. Has anyone found a way to view the screen bettter? I tried the game computer club of fear but was missing the text on the right. I'm wondering if this will happen in the other Eamon games in the collection? Re: [Audyssey] Eamon question
Hi. You need to select the text version of the main hall (obviously the graphical one is inaccessible). To do this, go to the utility menue (7th option on the list), press down once to highlight the appropriate option, then enter. check your settings written at the top of the screen for details (it'll say which version of the main hall your running. Hth. Btw, Personally I'm not keen on the pre-installed characters, they're mainly used for testing peoples dungeons so have some really unbalanced stats, pluss you just can't! have a hero called leasure sute frank or bill of accounting, it's just wrong! I suggest talking to the Irishman or using the character editer to start off with your own personal new character. Beware the Grue! [Audyssey] Eamon question
Hey all I decided to give it a go and see what it was like. I've kept in mind to alter the bos file replacing the 40 with an 80, and that you might have to hit alt and enter to work with the window. I'm having some issue though right off the top when attempting to begin an adventure. I'm able to go to the desk, select a character, and then I'm told to have fun in the hall and hit any key to continue. That's where the trouble is. I hit the space bar and nothing changes. it won't take me to the main hall, what am I missing? I imagine it's something simple but can't quite figure it out.
