Ok, so I got my client ID within about half an hour or so. But when I enter it
and click Download Lock, I get an error about an unhandled exception, something
about could not find a part of the path. I'd copy and paste the actual message
but it wouldn't let me. But when I click the Details button I do get pastable
text which I'll include below. Hope I can figure this out since I really wanna
play Mission Mode.

Hi Brian,
This is a problem I also experienced, but fortunately the solution is
simple enough.

Go to c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\
You'll need to create a folder named BPCPrograms and in that folder
another named TDV.

Once that's done the download should work properly.
I imagine Munawar will fix the problem once he's made aware of it.

That is exactly what I did on my windows 7 Machine, and this time it said 
that the file was downloaded, but when I went into the game, it

still said it was not registered.

sorry, pal, but that is just a typical .NET message telling you to
enable just in time debugging. Since you don't have the source code
obviously you can't do that. Usually, the details of the crash appears
below that just in time debugging crap.

Remember what I said earlier? Simply create the folder (not the file!) where
you will place your lock file, and then enter your client ID, click download
Lock file and bam
! you're done. Or at least, you should be...lol. I just finished my second
race, quite a game, and I must say you have to be careful with your fuel. I
ran out of it the first time I tried the second race, and couldn't land.

I have the same issue. So I manually put the LIC file in to the tdv
doler in program files, bpc programs, tdv. now it says my game is
registered, but my license is not valid for this version?
I uninstalled the demo beforehand, also removing the BPC programs
folder to be doubly sure all had gone.

What OS are you using? Right now I am on a 7 system, but I think I can 
switch to an XP. I put the folders everywhere I could on my computer. I will

Hi Brian,
No, not inside the game folder. If you're using XP, the folder path you need
is: C:\DocumentsAndSettings\AllUsers\AplicationDData\BPCPrograms\TDV. Once
the system finds that path, you're good to go.

c:\ProgramData\BPCPrograms\lic.tdv. I created that path and it didn't work.

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

configuration
   system.windows.forms jitDebugging=true /
/configuration

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi Brian,
Double check that you indeed created the path precisely.  Omitting one 
folder will just confuse the issue.  If it can't find the path, then 
obviously something is wrong, most likely the path you thought was the 
right one really wasn't.

Hi,

An easy way to get to your Application Data folder is to go to the run 
dialogue and type:

%appdata%
That's part of the path. In that app data folder, create a folder called
BPCPrograms
And then a TDV folder.

Put your Lic.tdv file in there and hopefully it'll work. Still downloading 
my copy.
