43rd Street Deli wasn't a wine/cheese place. I don't think they've ever had
an alcohol license. They opened about the time we moved to 43rd Street,
which was 1986. There was a wine/cheese place that we would walk to, but I
can't place the exact location or name. In 1979, when my Barnett Bank

I read that and the article said they opened in 1973 which was the year
I actually moved full time to Gainesville. It's funny I don't have any
particular memories of shopping there but do recall a wire and
cheese/deli type place around 43rd which may have been the 43rd st
deli. It also said

Yep the old memory is not so good anymore. The place I was thinking of
was I believe in the same shopping center with a Publix but it was in a
separate building out in front. Seems Like I remember them serving
sandwiches also. It was close to the Millhopper if I recall correctly. I
didn't live
