As long as they are on topic, I have no problem with them. And if they
learn not to post HTML (as this one did, see his second posting), I'd be
rather happy.

ybe I'm just too stupid, but why should all the projects keep a
copy of their xml-commons code if it already is in xml-commons? Please
enlighten me since I get the feeling that this approach obsoletes
xml-commons.

+1, but I'm not a committer. Sounds really interesting. I already can
think of a use for this in the company I work for.

BTW Xindice looks ridiculous and seems to be unpronauncable...

is the development community for this project? Will your current

OTOH since both Gump and Forrest are doing cross-project stuff, would it
be a good idea to put them into xml-commons?

tell which version exactly such a third-party jar is, 2.3 sounds like
the best solution. If you can throw in exact versions and have also the

Wouldn't it be better (especially if the lib-directory gets crammed up)
to have names like [packaga].README.txt and [package].LICENSE.txt along
with the [package].jar? So the [package] files would line up in a
directory listing.

This doesn't work? You should get a confirmation e-mail, and upon
replying to that you should be out.
Or try list-help: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, that should send
