[gentoo-amd64] upgrade an old system

I need to bring up-to-date a Sempron gentoo box (march=k8) which was not updated for more than one year. At first I was hoping to use the binpkg generated on my main system (Athlon64 X2, march=athlon64) to do a quick update, but the arch's are not compatible. So I started an emerge -uDv system,

[gentoo-amd64] I cant compile libraries using distcc+ssh

Hello, I am using 2 machines ( gentoo amd64 ) to compile my gentoo packages. I use distcc+ssh. The combination works for several packages but not on packages that want to compile libraries. Every package which tries to compile a library fails with this error distcc[5830]
