I think that's beside the point. Regular users fetch the tree with
rsync, not git, and the limit is primarily there to avoid bloating that

Agreed. I already wondered if there was an autotools variable that
would be more appreciate. Since aballier also said that this should be
corrected, I'll see about doing that in conjunction with these changes.
I wouldn't hold your breath for upstream. I've heard of them ignoring
other issues like the "as-needed" one for years.

general purpose JDK. Its only use is for bootstrapping icedtea. Now
that Java has been open sourced and gcj has fallen so far behind, gcc
are planning to scrap it so icedtea will need to find another way to
bootstrap (probably JamVM) if it isn't to rely on prebui
ad Gerrit recommended a few times but while I'm
sure it's capable, my brief encounters with it have found the interface
a little overwhelming.

than the full name and e-mail address. I'd be happy with just the
