This is now more urgent due to bug 766297, dev-db/percona-xtrabackup-8.0.13
w/ dev-libs/icu-68.2: sql/mysqld.cc:6633:30: error: ‘TRUE’ was not declared in
this scope.
https://bugs.gentoo.org/766297

Which makes current latest ~arch version impossible to build. A new maintainer
needs to bump to a new version with a fix or it will be treecleaned.

As this was my debut to package maintainment, and I'd need at least

dedicated maintainer. For packages without any takers, we'll remain the
maintainer for the time being. For packages that are taken, feel free
to remove us or keep as backup if you want us doing the occasional
version bump based on release announcement notices or such.

x11-themes/gtk-engines-qtpixmap
x11-themes/gtk-engines-unico

The following are definite last-rite candidates if no-one has any
interest in these:

dev-libs/gtx
dev-util/fix-la-relink-command

Additionally libxml2 and libxslt as a pair can be handed over; I
believe currently base-system and sam_ are considering taking them.

I’m interested to take care of net-wireless/wavemon, I bumped it to
0.9.1 on my own overlay some months ago. I just added the kernel
configuration check and the 0.9.2 version.

Dear all

Due to lack of time, i am dropping to maintainer-needed following packages:

app-emulation/dynamips
app-misc/geekcode
net-im/err
net-vpn/vtun
net-wireless/wavemon

Quick summary about current state of these packages in tree:

- app-emulation/dynamips

Have one opened bug(https://bugs.gentoo.org/726652), mostly upstream
related. Ebuild needs some love(move away from cmake-utils eclass, for
example).

- app-misc/geekcode

Have one opened bug(https://bugs.gentoo.org/707246). Package is quite
old, probably a good candidate for last-riting.

- net-im/err

Have two opened bugs.
One(https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=751865) is about buildsystem
stuff, other(https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=754663) is related
to in-tree version being seriously outdated. Version bump will probably
require to unbundle a lot of stuff.

- net-vpn/vtun

Have one opened bug(https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=708372).
Version in tree is one behind upstream(3.0.4).

- net-wireless/wavemon

Have three bugs opened.
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=649632 - version bump request
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=703030 - tweak build-time

[gentoo-dev] Packages up for grabs: app-backup/burp + account/group

2020-11-11 Thread Marek Szuba

Dear everyone,

Owing to the fact I decommissioned the last bit of my Burp-based backup
infrastructure last week, the following packages:

acct-group/burp
acct-user/burp
app-backup/burp

are now up for grabs. I have just dropped all three to m-n.

Burp releases are divided into two categories, stable (currently the 2.2
branch) and development (currently 2.3). The former is generally quiet,
the latter sees a new release every month or so. Upstream is friendly
and quick to respond.

There currently one open bug, for two test failures in the development
version 2.3.36 [1]. This particular one seems to me to be related to
tinderbox configuration, as I continue to be unable to reproduce it in
spite of having tried running the burp test suite with PORTAGE_TMPDIR on
several different file systems (specifically: btrfs, ext4, tmpfs). That
said, I have observed recent development builds to produce intermittent
test timeouts.

[gentoo-dev] Packages up for grabs: dev-libs/intel-neo and dependencies

2020-11-03 Thread Marek Szuba
I haven't got any Intel APUs available to test this any more, and with
upstream pushing towards a move to LLVM-11, being able to conduct
runtime testing will likely be important. Therefore, effective
immediately I no longer maintain:

dev-libs/intel-neo
dev-libs/level-zero
dev-libs/opencl-clang
dev-libs/vc-intrinsics [1]
dev-util/intel-graphics-compiler
dev-util/spirv-llvm-translator
media-libs/gmmlib [2]

[1] currently unused because intel-graphics-compiler upstream hasn't it
made it possible to build against a non-bundled version yet
[2] still has got one maintainer (media-video) but with newer versions
of NEO frequently depending on new gmmlib features, it will IMHO make
sense for the NEO maintainer to co-maintain this library as well

No open bugs. Intel upstream (i.e. all but SPIRV-LLVM-Translator) is
generally friendly but their response time varies a lot, plus while they
do officially support building against system-wide dependencies their
own testing focuses primarily on bundling everything together so the
distro approach doesn't always work (case in point: VectorCompiler
support in recent versions of intel-graphics-compiler, which I have so
far only been able to build without errors while using locally available
LLVM sources). SPIRV-LLVM-Translator mostly seems to pretend they are
not there so chances are you will have to package release snapshots
(separately for different LLVM major versions) in order for recent
versions of NEO to work; this is why the current stable version in
Gentoo is so behind upstream releases.

Yes, you can fix the tickets and prepare PR's via github.
Add a link to the bug as described in
https://www.gentoo.org/glep/glep-0066.html
After several contributions you probably decide that you want to take
care of all future bugs of this package and want to be the (proxied)
maintainer.

[gentoo-dev] Packages up for grabs: aqbanking and friends (German HBCI onlinebanking)

2020-09-04 Thread Hanno Böck
Hi,

I'm listed as the maintainer of aqbanking and a bunch of packages that
are basically just its dependencies (though libchipcard and ktoblzcheck
may be used separately for some functionality).
This is a library for accessing german online banking systems (which
goes under the names HBCI or FinTS) and can be used e.g. with gnucash.

I'm practically not using these any more as I've completely switched to
using the web interface of my bank. I also haven't been very active in
maintaining them and probably should've removed myself a while ago as
the maintainer.

If you care about these please add yourself as a maintainer. I will
remove myself in a few days and assign them to maintainer-needed
status if noone steps up.

The packages include:
net-libs/aqbanking
app-misc/ktoblzcheck
sys-libs/gwenhywfar
sys-libs/libchipcard
sys-libs/libhx

Hi,

I saw several reactions from you in tickets and mails; I answered in

I did not want to "kick out out" but I had the impression that you can
no longer maintain the packages as explained.

Hope to see many contributions from you soon.
If you have questions about how to fix your mail in bugzilla, do not
hesitate to ask on IRC.

I also saw, that you fixed now many tickets. Cool.

What's wrong with mount -o loop /path/to/iso /path/to/mount/point?

Based on version this looks like an abandoned project ...

and on SF at least ... last commit in on 2008-02-29?

The ebuild itself (other thank a single sec update thanks to Sam who
seems to be tracking everything security related out there) there has
been no real work (other than dragging it along, changes probably
suggested by automated checks for the most part) done since dist tree
migration from CVS to git.  The only "major" commit other than Sam's
security update to add a patch was to update the syntax for dependencies.

Kind Regards,
Jaco

2020-06-28 Thread Michał Górny
Hi,

Due to the maintainer going AWOL, the following packages now need new
maintainer:

app-doc/zeal
x11-terms/pangoterm

Both have a single bug reported.

There's also one package that fell back to ruby project as backup:

dev-ruby/neovim-ruby-client

[gentoo-dev] Packages up for grabs

2020-05-31 Thread Zoltan Puskas
Hi,

I'm stopping proxy maintenance of net-misc/youtube-viewer, as I
stopped using it due to YouTube's new requirement of having a
private developer's key for it to function.

Shared developer key is not a possibility (i.e. setting up a Gentoo key
for such packages) as YouTube rate limits the number of requests per
developer product key, and also considers them ToS violation, which potentially
leads to disabling them pretty fast. See more details on:
https://github.com/trizen/youtube-viewer/issues/308

I'm putting up a PR and dropping it to maintainer needed. If no one
wants to pick up the package maybe we should also consider last riting it
after some months, since YouTube API moves fast and old versions tend to
not function after some time.

Cheers,
Zoltan

Hello,

The following packages are looking for a new maintainer:

dev-python/pyopencl
dev-python/pytools

(there's also dev-python/pycuda from the same upstream, maintained
by sci@ that might be of interest to the future maintainer of these two)

The former has a build failure reported [1], and it'd certainly be
better if someone who knew more about OpenCL or even used it would
maintain them than Python team.

[gentoo-dev] Packages up for grabs: dev-python/pythondialog /ramlfications /repoze-sphinx-autointerface /robotframework /sleekxmpp /sphinxcontrib-issuetracker /toro /tx*

2020-04-26 Thread Michał Górny
The Python team will no longer maintain the following packages. They
all need porting to Python 3.7 and newer, and have some obstacle
in doing so. They have only few revdeps which we do not maintain.

dev-python/pythondialog
dev-python/ramlfications
dev-python/repoze-sphinx-autointerface
dev-python/robotframework
dev-python/sleekxmpp
dev-python/sphinxcontrib-issuetracker
dev-python/toro
dev-python/txaio
dev-python/txAMQP
dev-python/txgithub
dev-python/txrequests

pythondialog is used by net-analyzer/gvm-tools (jonas.licht@)
and net-vpn/protonvpn-cli (ilmostro7@). It is missing tests.

ramlfications are used by dev-util/buildbot (dolsen@ indicate he'll
revive it). The tests fail already and it's on 2016 snapshot.
It seems pretty much dead.

repoze-sphinx-autointerface is used by dev-python/txtorcon (just taken
by dolsen@). It is missing tests.

robotframework is needed only for dev-python/robotbackgroundlogger
(zmedico@). It is missing tests.

sleekxmpp is used by net-im/err (pinkbyte@) and net-im/spectrum2
(conikost@, andrey_utkin@). It is broken with py3.7 and upstream
has archived the repository.

sphinxcontrib-issuetracker is used only by dev-python/pydocstyle
(python@, monsieurp@, andrewammerlaan@). Either the tests or the whole
package is broken with Sphinx 3 (and possibly older).

toro is needed only by dev-python/thriftpy (sci@). Some of the tests
are failing (already) and no upstream activity since 2016.

txaio is only used by dev-util/buildbot (dolsen@) and sci-libs/vtk
(sci@). All tests fail with a test suite error.

txAMQP by dev-python/carbon (patrick@, grobian@). Tests require
a system instance of rabbitmq server.

txgithub is the only package that I managed to test up to Python 3.8
(though either test coverage or API coverage is near zero). It is used
by dev-util/buildbot (dolsen@).

txrequests is used by dev-util/buildbot (dolsen@). It is missing tests.

[gentoo-dev] Packages up for grabs: dev-python/numba, dev-python/pyaudio, dev-python/pylast, dev-python/pyminuit, dev-python/pypam, dev-python/pyscaffold

2020-04-26 Thread Michał Górny
Hi,

Here's the next set of Python packages for grabs. All of them need
porting to py3.7 and proper tests. If not revdeps, they'd be last
rited.

dev-python/numba
dev-python/pyaudio
dev-python/pylast
dev-python/pyminuit
dev-python/pypam
dev-python/pyscaffold

numba is used by dev-python/fastparquet (sci@) only. It has failing
tests and a dependency on dev-python/llvmlite that's stuck on LLVM 8.

pyaudio is used by app-misc/anki (patrick@) only. It is missing tests.

pylast is used by a few media-sound/ packages (sound@, johu@,
chutzpah@). Its tests are restricted because apparently it does online
testing against your last.fm account. It's many releases behind, so I
wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't compatible with the API anymore.

pyminuit is used by sci-visualization/veusz (sci@) only. It is missing
tests.

pypam is used by gnome-extra/cinnamon (cinnamon@) and app-emulation/xen-
tools (hydrapolic@, xen@). Its tests are failing, the ebuild is awful,
requires many patches and the upstream homepage is gone.

pyscaffold is used by dev-python/Numdifftools only (sci@). Its tests
are failing, and from a quick glance it's probably broken of old age.

I'll maintain these again along with buildbot now that I am back.

Hopefully newer buildbot versions won't need as many deps and we can
clean some of the old ones...
