A Knoppix CD could help. That's what I use it for.

Actually compiling sun-j2sdk is now as easy as downloading two files
from Sun, then doing an 'emerge sun-j2sdk'.

I had a problem where dhcpcd wouldn't connect to my server once while I
was running Debian. I
ng this rule in
its place:

* ^Subject:[ ]*\/[^ ].*
| formail -i"Subject: `echo ${MATCH} | sed -e's/\[gentoo-user\] //g' -re's/([Rr][Ee]:
)+/Re: /g'`"
Those brackets on the Subject matching line should be [] and
[^] respectivly.

I'm pretty sure most email clients use the "In-Reply-To" header for

I don't see the big complaint against VIA, my Abit KG7 works great all
the time, even with my Geforce3.

If you emerge sun-jdk first, then this, do you get the same error?

They don't want to uninstall all of somethings dependencies, they want
to uninstall everything that is dependent upon a particular package.
This, AKAIK, is not implemented.

Most of the time any type of init script will work. I have a wireless
card that I haven't had the time to rewrite the script yet, but it works
just fine as a SysV style bash script.
