i always wanted to prevent this, but now that there are so many new games outta there,
i want to have a gaming os back on my hd... so i decided to install winxp additionally
in a small partition on my first hard drive.
but now, as you can imagine, there are _several_ problems.
i got th

well, i started a thread in this ml a week or so ago, which was part of this problem.

when i start vmware (root works, normal user not!? O_o), it boots the system and after
a short time it freezes, so i cant really use it.
in this case it is a win2kserve

hi there,
i got the following problem:
once these days my vmware started, but the vm was hanging, so i had to kill the vmware
process. but now, after killing it, the vmmon module doesnt get free to unload it. i
think it hanged because the modules had to be recompiled for my new kernel. so it

is there a way to allow a user to dialin via isdn, so he is part of my lan? with
windows i did this to play lan games over a "wan" connection, such as vpn. but i cant
really use vpn, since the other user is restricted to direct dialin instead of using
the internet (its faster and doesnt cost any
does anyone know about a stock theme for gtk or something like that? i already know

well, i tried to check something within the last few hours. here's what i experienced:
at one point there was (nearly at the beginning of my x session) a moment that x used
about 70% of my memory. when i killed sylpheed-claws, it got back to about 20%.
but then after a few hours (well, when i wok
