I think you've confused yourself. /var/tmp/portage is portage's

fast ebuild so portage will handle all files
and sandbox will take care that everything is fine. If you want to

That i have read in a Tutorial for a Gentoo Build Server. I has think it
was the mount from the /var/tmp/portage from the Hostsyst

I'm not sure if that is supposed to work or not, but I suspect that
might be the problem. Since it is located INSIDE a git repository (if
you have /usr/portage checked out from git), I suspect there is some
confusion if the package is trying to check something else out using
git or

No, I'm not entirely new to Gentoo. I just recently returned after

While I've never had any chance to try distributed fs outside the
sandbox, it looks like a best solution in your case, providing both
speed and data redundancy.
Specifically, I mean AFS (there's a bit outdated guide on gentoo-wiki)
ty to overwrite the same binaries while they are being
built.
This is a very good and valid use of the healthy paranoia that unix
admins are supposed to be born with.
You can start by investigating the various sandbox and userpriv FEATURES
in make.conf (info in the portage man pages), or set up yo
thon -debug -doc)

/boot, but to make use of the newly built kernel, you have to reboot.
If you think, that rebooting is not suitable right now, I offered two
alternative (possible) solutions to your compile problems.
1) disable sandbox temporarily
2) use busybox's touch instead
ans aborted and "Erreur" means error :)
The problem is most likely a directory permissions problem.
A quick google for "nss Error 134" returns two promising
results, both of them implicating sandbox as the problem:

g there, doing nothing. Computer is
responsive, cpu load 0%, no disc activity, nothing. Following processes
are still running (but taking no cpu-time):
emerge, sandbox, ebuild.sh, emake, make (2x), grep
What to do now? Do I have to interrupt it? What then, start again?
