VirtualCoverage is a good name. I would add NDVI into the Future evolution
section with a nice image and prepare for implementing it, it will have great
worldwide usage potential when done

a new Raster built on top of other Rasters, by defining some properties to
customize how to use them.

I have setup a proposal about VirtualCoverage:

In summary, it consists on allowing to configure a "VirtualCoverage" built
on top of different coverages from a store. The resulting coverage exposes
