Re: [Gimp-developer] Windows snapshot of 2.7 - possible?

By default the Windows installer creates a start menu / desktop shortcut with the --integrated option included, so I suspect the average Windows user does not even know it could be otherwise (not bad in my opinion, because the GTK+ Windows port does not behaves exactly the same as in Linux native and so the desire for single window mode). You are misunderstanding the problem. Gimp can and does remember if your last session was in swm. It however lacks the code currently to properly load in that mode. Namely remembering what was docked where and restoring that state does not work yet. It's a work in process not a complete feature. --Alexia ___ Gimp-developer mailing list Gimp-developer@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-developer

It really isn't easy defining a square brush with a particular length of a side. For example, creating a square brush with a side exactly 2px large. Could anything sensible be done about that? However, a way to create a 2px square brush would be to make a 2x2px selection in agrayscale image, , copy it and edit- paste as - brush... It would be easy to have that as a plug-in, but I can't think of a way such a plug-in would not clutter the menus. However, now that I mentioned it, ther is a File - create[...] action that create a brush. (create brush from phrase) Maybe we could come along with some more 2 or 3 ideas to populate a file-create-brush... submenu. There an Exact square brush... could easily fit. Let's see whatthe maintainers and Peter have to say on sucha submenu, and throw in some ideas on whatthe other entries could be. regards, js -- Alexandre _ ___ Gimp-developer mailing list Gimp-developer@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-developer

If, for a polygonal brush, there was a read-only message displayed, sides: 4px that might be useful. However, if aspect ratio is not 1:1 I don't know what would be useful, e.g. for a squashed pentagon...
