My $0.02,
Let the user select what they want immediately. Anything else is merely
annoying and doesn't add significant value. So my vote is for anything
with export to say it can do anything.

Gimp 1.1.10 sometimes segfaults when the mouse is moved
above or below the window dureing a free select. I've
attached a patch that seems to fix it. The problem was an
unchecked variable in scan_convert.c. There is a similar but
unrelated problem when the mouse is moved to the left of the
window.

Not sure if this is a known bug or not but I was using the ascii2image
script-fu plugin today and found an interesting one.
With the .deb version of 1.1.10

If you click on a font-selector button in a script-fu dialog box, select a
font, then click the button again, you are presented with a script-fu
