Running Ubuntu Studio, XFCE, Gimp 2.14... I now have a Wacom tablet
(Intous Pro with Touch, large. I have all the Wacom drivers, etc. that
Synaptic has... cannot figure out how (or if) the touch features would
work... & ditto the buttons on the tablet...
Any clear suggestions on how (& or

convert a black white negative (scanned) to a positive, in Gimp (now, alas,
using Windows 8, for the moment). I thought there was (perhaps it was distant
memories of my Photoshop days, using Mac? :))?

Does anyone on the list here, have any actual knowledge or experience
building GIMP 2.8x on Linux Debian Squeeze? My current version of GIMP
is 2.6.1.
Some questions I have (for example) are: Do I /really/ have to uninstall
the old version...? Any dependency issues (conflicts, etc.) ?
