Hi Eric, I don't have multiple layers, my transparency is in an 'alpha' channel, so there is no 'merge layers' available. I can add a new layer, but I'm not sure how to get it to show transparent areas. Greg -- Gregory Yetman C

Hi, I have a GIMP image with transparency set. I've read that TIFF supports transparency, yet when I try and save my image as a TIFF I have to 'flatten' it first, which removes the transparency. Is there a way in the GIMP to create a TIFF file with transparent areas? Thanks, Greg
