If you double-click on the text-icon, you will get text options. Choose the Dynamic Text option. Now your text will appear in its own layer. Anytime you click on that layer with the font tool, you will be able edit your text (just like with a word processor). Of course, this is only available in CVS versions of GIMP. > --Ames -- Amy L. Sorry, partially wrong, I should have posted before: Use GDynText plugin. Gimp 1.1 uses it for normal text if you want. With that plugin it saves font, color, and other info. You can not apply effects over the text and keep them, but that is better than nothing. I hope someday it will keep a list of effects too. GSR
