Hey there,
First of all I'd like to thank you for this great product !
We are using it for a while now (2.4), are very happy with it, and had very
little issues with it until recently, when rescue stopped working after a
failure, and not coming up ever since.
I wanted to upgrade to 3.0 for a wh
after upgrading an old version of gitorious to 2.3.0 I see this when trying to
clone a new repository:
Access denied or bad repository path for "admin": "git-upload-pack
'fff/fff.git'"
but an old existing repository works fine:
Accepted "admin" for "git-upload-pack
'/home/git/repositories/1b
This is a stock installation from ce-installer, and running the included
upgrade script to use origin master to perform the upgrade.
This specific system runs CentOS 6.5 final only for the purpose of running
gitorious, so no changes have been made to the underlying system or ruby
installation.

Hi Jamil,
have you customized your Ruby installation or it is the Ruby installedton
by ce-installer? Could you verify that your GEM_ROOT and GEM_PATH are set
correctly on the root account?
You can manually snapshot the repositories and database:

Hi Sam,
You can use VM or Docker images on other OSes:
http://getgitorious.com/installer#sec-4-12 . If you want to upgrade an old
instance of Gitorious, please refer to this guide:
https://gitorious.org/gitorious/pages/Upgrading

Pawel

Hi Michael,
It looks like your installation was successful, please ignore the warnings
about: ci/reporter/rake/minitest, it is just a test dependency.
Cheers,
Pawel
