Hello,
Recently, I've been having a problem entering Descriptions for my
transactions.
At first, I could only enter 3 characters, then it would lock up.
Now I can only enter 1.
All other fields seem to be working just fine. The only field I'm
having difficulties with is the Description.
I've not used this functionality but from what I read in the
documentation the command you're referencing is intended to be used to
update prices in a Gnucash data file. Presumably it's a way to execute
the task of Tools->Price Database->Get Quotes, without actually starting
up the Gnucash
Trying to set up an equities quote query but nowhere, repeat, nowhere can I
find any info on what the structure of this xml file is to be. Not sure why
this requires a file but in any case can I get an example of what this file
should look like using the symbols, INTC, COIN, and IBM?

I ran this with my original API key (which worked till about a week ago)
as well as a brand new one (created the day before yesterday, with a

No. Reverse/delete that mess.
Are you using the 'Process Payment' feature?
Step 1. Click Process Payment, choose the vendor, select Invoice B,
enter the total payment amount, select the source account, set the date
and a note if any, then commit the payment. This will pay off Invoice B

Bernard,
One last command. curl. Replace "YOURAPIKEY" with, of course, your
ALphaVantage API key.
Are you referring to the window that we call the Accounts window rather
than the General Journal register window that many also call the General
Ledger?
That indeed is a mystery but you might check the View settings to be sure
that all accounts are selected to be shown, including Zero value and
Hi Bruce,
Sorry for not following the instructions :-)

Bernard,
Was that before of after you set PERL5LIB? It makes a difference. Please
run the command in a new console window. Thank you.
I am using an account list in general use in Sweden, such that account
number 8400 is a holding number for accounts for interest payments from
the entity being recorded. I can not get account 8400 to appear in the
general ledger although two subaccounts, 8422, interest payments to
