Thanks Timothy and Adrien. Changing the payment transaction by adjusting the Imbalance could work a bit. When Shopify pays weekly/monthly, it pays an aggregate of multiple orders. The reason I would like to split is to allocate the payment cost to different accounts, is due to profit sharing on

No, if that doesn't work then something else is interfering with the javascript execution. Look in the tracefile (see https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Tracefile) for errors from WebKit. Does the chart display if you export the report to a file and then open the file with your browser? Can you

Select the transaction that you wish to edit. Click on Split to see all of the splits for this transaction. Edit the transfer account for the split that has the wrong transfer account. Press Enter. Dan On January 18, 2023 12:13:18 PM Xe Roy wrote: I am a newby to gnucash but an old hand at

I am a newby to gnucash but an old hand at Quicken. A mistake I regularly make is to enter a transaction into the wrong account. I'll have several accounts open and I just forget to switch. In Quicken, I just move the transaction (splits and all) to the new account. The Internet chatter I've found

One could track the individual assets and depreciation in a spreadsheet and then, using GnuCash, use a general depreciation entry to cover all of them. My recollection from the OP is that his accountant would provide the depreciation information; he was asking about how to properly enter it into

Agree. Just edit the transfer account(s). It is only a conjecture on my part but if you are talking about transferring transactions say from one set of books for customer A to another set of books for Customer B then would say that that cannot be done but as long as the transactions are in a

Xe Roy, You will find if you just change your top level account in the transaction, the splits will follow it. Just as Michael described above. I've used jump but I find it just as easy to make that one correction. Additionally, if you found you chose the wrong account for one of your splits,

When I notice I've placed a transaction in the wrong spot, I "jump" to the matching transaction and correct the credit card. For example: I put my Walmart grocery into the CreditCard1 account instead of the CreditCard2 account. I noticed this in the CreditCard1 account. 1. "Jump" to the

In addition to what Michael said, if you have multiple splits, you might want to view the splits and change it there. Here's a quick video showing this: https://youtu.be/k3wS2lmR5VQ David On Wed, 18 Jan 2023 at 21:40, Fross, Michael wrote: > > When I notice I've placed a transaction in the

You can get line-item detail using invoices, just uncheck the option to 'consolidate splits' when posting. There is also a default preference. Without consolidating, you get to see each of the line items on an invoice in any affected register. You don't get price or qty data though unless
