Re: Access not allowed page all of sudden.

2012-05-03 Thread Jason Hall
Hello,

Your project was suspended because it looked like you were hosting JS files
for the purposes of serving them. For example, the JQuery libraries hosted
in your project are not your work.

While we want to help you develop and show off your opensource work, Google
Code is not meant to be a CDN. Please consider finding another host for
your files and using the service only for source control and project
maintenance. For example, you can use the Google Libraries API to load
JQuery: https://developers.google.com/speed/libraries/devguide#jquery

I've unsuspended your project and will re-review the status of your project
in a few weeks. Sorry for the miscommunication.

Your account was banned, because one of your projects was getting high
download traffic and appeared to be simple file hosting rather than open

I've audited the projects further, and they do come with source code and
reference the GNU GPL, so I've reversed the ban. I'm sorry for the

Our malware scanner was triggered on a file SubWCRev.exe in

don't see the file anywhere. Is this something that was hosted in a source

Actually, it's still there in your revision history - it looks like it
was committed by Shawn Hoffman a few days ago and then subsequently removed.
Because we serve (and scan for malware) all revisions of your repository you
will have to use the reset this repository link at the bottom of your
source/checkout page to wipe the history of your repository and re-push your
code without this file.
Incidentally, we've just added a section on malware to our
FAQhttp://code.google.com/p/support/wiki/FAQ
.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems like maybe it is handled by a
bot? The poor grammar leads me to (admittedly stereotypically) believe
that it is related to less-than-legitimate activities.

I have restricted your account from creating any more projects, but
you can browse other Google Code projects again. Your existing

restored, you will need to acknowledge your understanding of our terms

It appears your project and accounts were banned because you were
distributing non-Open Source software. Looking at your quadratic
