backroads riding from 50-100 mph its to slow. For highway riding its 80 mph
at 4500 RPM. It depends on what you favor most sport or tour.
Absolutely no issue on wear and tear. The motor is race bread and in a
detuned state. You should get 20-30K on a chain and sprockets depending on
your riding style

You know, I have been quiet for a long time about the ScottOiler topic.
I have to say that there is one thing you can't say about the ScottOiler
and that is how good it looks.
That is one ugly piece of art work in my honest opinion.
Sorry Henry.
Grant, why be sorry? You're right. It is

best. Some like to stay OEM and others are going for smaller chains and
have to change both sprockets. I hope that I to can get enough info

I have gone to smaller chain and both sprockets this year and it seems to be
okay. I felt the only real advantage was it was cheaper to buy the newer
type sprokets, and if I had a problem in remote areas the newer narrow
sprockets are easier to find. The downside is the new front sprocket
Anyone on the list notice any of their plastic cracking? I was waxing the
bike the other day when I found a crack in the leading edge of the front
fender and also on the right tail section. Baffles me? The front must have
been whacked by a stone? Does the tail have any stressed points?

I am planning on putting a new chain and sprockets on the GTS this winter
and would like to get the parts ordered in the next month. I will be
converting from the 532 to a 530. At the same time I will be removing the
rear swingarm to grease bearings and such and I would like to get a chain
Steel Sunstar sprockets are inexpensive and perform flawlessly. I purchased
them at a great price from Kiernan Racing http://www.braincell.com/kiernan/
. I've used the DID Gold X-ring for years now without a problem. Get the
clip type masterlink and safetywire it, or get a rivet type masterlink
