Hello! My gift was from Carol Kocian, who gave me the book by Mara Riley,
Whatever Shall I Wear? and several small lengths of basic cotton and linen
twill type tapes. And also pieces of a pale green toile cotton for my
quilting, too!

So far all of my gifts from friends and family have been for the geeky
side of me. (I will be meeting with my sewing/costume friends this
Friday) I got an MP3 player and a new printer/scanner/copier/fax. But
my Secret Santa, Diana Habra, sent me the most beautiful German goller
made from
My husband thoughtfully gave me several books from my costuming
wish-list, The Little Hat Book, How the West was Worn, and a book on
making victorian style ribbon trim (coincidentally I had been drooling
over the very title a week before because I bought it for my exchange
recipient).
I received a box from Germany that contained a lovely porcelain Faberge
egg. I'm having tourble figuring out the giver's name. Thank you
Secret Santa, who ever you are.
The closest costuming item I received was that my daughter I spent
part of the weekend updating my website and moving it
I didn't really get any costume-related holiday gifts. I got a lovely
little 1906 how-to book on book binding, including how to make all those
period-pattern marbleized papers. I'm also getting new glasses, which I'm
having put into frames that are much more period-looking than the ones I
