The original call sign for this station was KQYX, but it was changed to WMBH
in 2001. Doesn't anyone at the FCC ever look at a map? Why would a station in
Joplin qualify for a W call???

They are on at noon with what appears to be full power. They only run 500
watts at night, so if they are running on reduced power, maybe they are running
ND temporarily.

Slight correction. KOWB is DA-2, using 2 towers for day and 3 for night.
Their day pattern has changed from what it used to be. Earlier on, it looked
nearly omni except for a small null toward Denver to protect 1280, but now it
looks much different, so maybe that change, whenever it took
Also, the Boulder translator on 92.9 for KCKK (which is owned by them now) has
been off for quite a while, even though they still ID it every hour.

KCKK is still off, but their translator on 93.7 is on. I heard this morning
that the power is still off at their studio site in Lakewood and probably will
not be back on until midnight tonight. Apparently they are using a small
generator because mention was made that it is cold and dark
I checked them around 5:30 PM and the AM and the Golden translator were not on
the air. When I was in Boulder around noon, the translator there was not on
the air.
