It is actually a function of the compressing codec and the original source material. The quality is better because the quality of the source was better (HDTV vs analog cable) and the file size is smaller because the codec used is better (divx/mpeg-4 vs mpeg-2). -- Brian

The nForce, Intel and 3COM are all good NIC's and the differences in load characteristics can't be seen unless you're under heavy load, in which case you should switch to a server NIC :) That being said, I've neverhad problems with stability of any of the three brands.
