more thing. I'm finding plenty of picture books, YA books, and adult
books, but fewer chapter books for children that feature diverse

Dear Hasafranim,
In my one room library, I have back issues of at least 15 different
periodicals (you know, the usual -- Moment, Tikkun, Commentary,
American Jewish Archives, etc), some going back to the 70s & 80s.
Absolutely NO ONE requests them!
I've looked on line and many of these are avai

The librarian in question is Jewish, but not a Judaica librarian.
I don't remember seeing the book title on Daniel's list of books for
review or reading the review in the AJL Newsletter, though I see that
someone's added it to the AJL's virtual bookshelf at librarything -

Thanks to the many people who told me the book is Always an Olivia by

Now, can anyone tell me how to find the name of the book based on

Thank you for your questions.
Although not all technicalities are set up yet, my goal is to post
each issue of the reviews and the news as two separate PDF files. One

Hi Everyone,
I want to thank Heidi for encouraging us to run Library Snapshot Day.
I'm in the middle of conducting it today and it's amazing - I can't

I think the book Rose is thinking of is "Always an Olivia" by
Carolivia Herron (Kar-Ben, 2007). It's based on the story of the
author's ancestor, Sarah. We had Carolivia Herron at the Columbus
