There is also an expanded Dewey, used at the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School, Rockville, MD, and soon to be used by me at the Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy. Since we have a large secular collection as well as the Judaica, I wanted one system for the whole library. Madeleine Cohen Oakley --

Actually, Weine is closer to Dewey. Elazar uses the numbering but in a totally different order. Weine just changes the 200s (religion) and a few others as needed (I don't have it with me and haven't seen the scheme in several years) Eleazar takes the decimal structure and completely rebuilds.
