Sound like a great idea. Just looked at the site and my only concern would be they may need the support of the small end of the peg if they are to turn freely. Couldn't find them on ebay, Elderly instruments have them at a lower price than banjo planetary pegs. Trouble is you get 4 per set and

An H-G peg is only supported at one end ? Most friction pegs in HGs are vertical, not transverse. In a vertical peg the bottom end of the peg is free and accessible from beneath the instrument and the peg is held in place in its middle. Most HGs don't have open sides to the peg box, so it

I have spoken extensively with Mr. Herin and I am going to send him a complete keybox that he can work with to try and develop a version that will work for HGs. Stay tuned. He see it as a challenge and hopes to have a replacement for HGs. Scott
