I have spoken extensively with Mr. Herin and I am going to send him a
complete keybox that he can work with to try and develop a version that will
work
for HGs. Stay tuned. He see it as a challenge and hopes to have a replacement
for HGs.

Glad to see there's still some building going on, so I thought I'd just go
ahead and ask a few questions since I haven't been on in a while. I have
been following the discussions, but mostly just thinking about the whole
process. All that thinking is starting to hurt, so I suppose after
1. The wheel is set at an angle so the rim has a bevel which in turn dictates
that the drone strings run closer to the keybox .
2. I settled on ballraces years ago and never looked back.
3. Ken Wittman does a great little tuner that could have been made for the job.

There seem to be 2 types
Pegheds are installed in a plain tapered hole and glued in
Perfection Pegs are also put in a tapered hole but have a self-tapping
threaded bit
They both seem to be designed
I'm a big favorite of lignum vitae
I still make hole but i never used it
Just 1 tiny drop of balistol oil a year on the shaft is all it takes
I use a korg 30 to build into the cover of the tangen box...
Out of sight, and available when needed...
