Thanks Dave, that's the first thing I checked, I ensured the scripts were the
same on both machines, but it didn't made any difference. I checked with my

There might be a messed up soundscape stored inside the BSP, try extracting
the content from the map and see if there is something offending in there.

Hi,
Doesn't seem to work for me.
I've followed the tutorial, and call SetBounds with the results from
GetHudSize (which provide the correct values, e.g. 1280 x 7680) but the
right hand side of the image is still being chopped off. The image is
being drawn with the right dimensions, but right
Looking at that, is your panel the size of your screen? Because it looks

Thanks.

Tom, try delete any existing firewall permissions for Steam.exe and let it
learn the permissions or manually re-add them again.

No firewall, tried my old USB modem (No routing, straight modem), still
no luck.
I left it for a couple of hours and it got to 4%, but then straight down
crashed and i had to manually start it again (At 0%).
This is starting to annoy me (However my friend has a similar issue, it

You might see if you have an LSP installed that is messing up your
connection, they have been known to cause this problem in the past.
You can get the lspfix link from my toolkit and check things, be sure to
read the info on the lspfix webpage.
my toolkit is here: http://qsextreme.com/qs_toolkit

Also, the first sign of connectivity problem is with AOL itself. look at
your third hop. three failed attempts before you even leave your ISP.

I'm thinking its just an ISP problem, as it seems to be giving a lot of
people problems. My friend in Scotland is using AOL, and fails on the same
hop (iptfarmla-los-sw0-V3.net.aol.comhttp://iptfarmla-los-sw0-v3.net.aol.com/

ah, ok well go get a copy of pingplotter (www.pingplotter.com) and let it
run to someplace reasonable for a few days (more useful then a simple
tracert).
You can save the datafile and send it to most ISP tech support (not sure
about AOL though) and they can see in detail for themselves where the
No, what i mean is, i remember doing a tracert back in 2005/6/7 back on
dial-up and having that exact hop failing. It doesn't affect internet
access, i think they just have an over-active firewall on that machine.

Goes over the general idea of doing so.

Righto, thanks Jay.
Was it simply a steam outage? Or what? Someone DOSing steam?

You can fix that by removing any declaration of maxplayers from configs or
the servers startup line.
Your server will be capped at 2 players, but now your sv_tags will be empty.
Woop Woop Yay.
Heres my sv_tags with maxplayers 24.
