You do have a right to respond.
We also have a right to call you stupid and childish for causing a slap
fight in what the OP had hoped to be a serious discussion. You could have
ignored it. You could have just said "Not true, but it's not the time and
place to discuss it here."
Instead you did
There's that mailing list drama.

That's a lot of anger over paints. Items from stocking stuffers have never
been tradeabke, to stop people from rolling new accounts and trading the
freebies to a new one en masse.

Let's make an angry post on Reddit about it. That'll show them.

I distinctly remember the last few times someone on Valve tried to poke
their head into this mailing list to attempt to open a dialogue, or give
any amount of status update, and they were mobbed almost instantly.
Insults, threats, screams, tantrums, everything. No wonder they don't want
to talk to
That thought process is why we are where we are now. Valve doesn't trust
community servers to police the community beyond their own nose. They tried
to trust us for years and nothing happened. Terrible servers and shitty
communities ran rampant, and it was the duty of the community to try and
stop

It looks like that community's servers were already shutting down due to
admin burnout. Nothing related to this in any way. Maybe just an attempt to

The main problem I heard from quickplay was that you wouldn't get these
good community servers, but instead you'd get tweaked out nightteam and
random mods and shit from it. I tried it one night and got shunted to Stop
That Tank! As far removed from the standard TF2 experience as can
possibly be,
The change is that you have to confirm each drop manually - an idle server
won't fully solve the problem, as you'll still need to come back every half
hour-hour to hit okay and resume it. At that point, you really are better
off just playing the game instead of trying to game the system.
Settle down, Beavis. It sounds like they're just hosting community maps on
Official Servers. You won't be locked out of playing the maps on your own
or on community services, the cover charge is to pass the money to the
mapmakers and to log onto the Official Valve servers hosting them.
guys how about we stop feeding the goddamn troll like a bunch of ninnies.
