Adjust sv_maxrate (max byte/s sent to individual clients) to minimize
the ill effects when the server would otherwise have used too much
bandwidth. For example:
2 Mbit/s = 25 byte/s
25 byte/s / 24 players ≈ max 10400 byte/s per player
sv_maxrate 10400; minimize the risk of packet loss by

I have a question on a dedicated server, I am currently running 2 TF2 24

I technically run on this setup?

You might need to be a bit more specific on the AMD Dual Core.

You could run maybe two, but when full $20 says they both lag like hell.
Also, I really do hope you don't think you're going to do this on a home
internet connection.

No, it isn't, and you'll quickly find out why you won't be hosting TF2
from home.

lol 2Mbps up is not enough.
A fully loaded 24 slot uses (around) 3Mbps up and 1Mbps down alone.
It will be laggy as hell for you.
And that's not even taking in to account the high tier bandwidth providers in a
datacenter compared to your residential connection to the internet.

Agreed. 2Mbps is not enough at all. Maybe if you limited to 16 users or so.

No, there is no point anymore to have over 66 ticks.

Different issue then FPS. Pretty sure Tickrate Enabler still functions.

Like with 1000 FPS servers, was there ever any point? ;) Seemed to be more
for bragging/selling rights if anything.

No. It still only performed a game simulation every tick.
The other frames were an absolute waste of CPU time, and like you said,

Id like to throw a challenge out, these '1000fps servers' against some
decent quality 'standard' servers.
Get some top teams, possibly one of the big esports news sites to test.
We wont tell anyone what the servers are, just provide them with links ie.
server1.gametestblah
I could make the challenge happen

You'd also have to prevent the players from checking net_graph and

A double-blind doesn't seem like it'd be a bad idea, actually. Put it
out there on a more official basis that there is/isn't a difference.
