I thought this was a feature, as it was happening to us all last night.
I thought it was cool for a while as it gave me the experience of seeing
what the other players were like in different roles.
But i soon got fed up of it when i quickly realised the other players were

Yeah, I'm sure it's a bug. Sucks though. I was playing in a team with my
friends on a full versus server and got swapped some time during the map
change, and couldn't swap back because both teams were full. Why would
it even auto-swap me if there was enough players on both sides? D:

with an organised team or 4 friends and then it took one of them away on the
3rd round. Definitely seemed worse after the patch. At first I think it did

Not certain, both players were complaining. But maybe

Have you tried loading a map with l4d_vs_* in the name? I think that's all
you need to do... it helps to also use the -mapcyclefile mapcylce
filename.txt if you are running both VS and co-op servers from the same

and not paid that much attention.
Is versus mode supported on all of the campaigns, or just a couple of them?
