That is because it uses a different A2S query. Steam Server browser
(right-click, view server info) will show you that.

Sounds just like the quick connect feature in BF2, I didnt like it because
it sent people to an unpopulated server or map that they didnt like. The
matchmaking system is suppose to come soon though.
