See subject. It's been going on forever, servers advertising themselves
as near full when there is no one in it. Just curious what's being done
about this plauge that is spreading. There used to be a threat of
masterserver delisting, but I haven't seen that happen to any of the

Nothing is being done it seems. The server scoring doesn't seem to solve the
problem at all.

Jake,
Because you weren't getting emails, you missed a bunch related directly to
this problem. Bad timing LOL...
The resolution posted by the users here is as follows:
The problem appears to have only affected game servers that have an out of
date older Steam Client on them. To fix the issue,
That's unconstitutional (it is a metaphor). I just wouldn't want to land on
one of those servers from quickplay.
Why tell server owners how to run their equipment, just set a base standard
everyone *must* abide by in order to get listed.

Just wanted to confirm that this is tf2 only and not for cs:s or other mods
as well. In that other servers do not REQUIER an update. Is the above
correct?

The update is only required for TF2.
The shared linux server depot will receive a very minor change, to fix the
missing libgcc dependency that is affecting a few linux distributions. That
update is optional, and if your server is working (and you aren't running TF2)
then it is not necessary
So, if this is optional, then why did you say it's mandatory in the first
mail?

What the... Reading comprehension is terrible on this list.
He said it was required for TF2, optional for other orangebox games.
Just to make it simple. This is a required TF2 update. And just so we are
clear TF2 is not CSS, or DODS or HL2DM hence Mandatory TF2 update coming
this afternoon
