Hi,
I was recently involved in teaching a large group of new mappers, and
close to the end of the session I repeated to them how to find the
squares they have mapped, click on them, and see the comments that the
validator had left
I just want to make sure I understand this:
We are just talking about getting an email for squares that we
personally have marked as completed when it gets validated or
invalidated, not for every square that gets validated.
Or, as an alternative:
Every square that we have personally marked
Hi,
I put a transcript of the irc meeting log here:
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Humanitarian_OSM_Team/Meetings/TrainingWG/24_August_2014
I have to go back and figure out how to include the links as the wiki
software rejected it until I removed them.
Best wishes,

I put the links back in the transcript now.
It includes links to the real time created minutes and the hackpad terms
of reference that was the largest focus of the meeting and its editing
while doing the irc chat was a big part of the time spent in the meeting.

These do look like good maps, unfortunately they are labeled as

3. Make it as fixme=Confirm name after doing either one of the two above
option?
Sorry to be so picky, but as long as we going through and cleaning up
data, I'd like to get it as good as we can.

For these I have just been making sure it gets in as an alternate name
and not been putting a fixme on them. The spelling of these names is
not generally fixed, and the names seem to be fairly fluid over time.

If anyone wants to review any squares I have marked done (bgirardot) or
comments I make here and provide feedback, I welcome it all.

Hi,
my main problem so far is that I ended up with quite a few places in the
GNS import that I can't clearly assign to any of the residential areas
that I can see on the map.
Ever so often there are two or three places about equally far from the
marker.
Oh, one other thing.
When I am putting a fixme=Location approximate node in place, if there
are tiny settlements or individual buildings in the area I will make
sure I mark them properly as buildings or residential areas on the OSM
map so someone in the field could at least have an idea of
them.
Use source=Spot-6, Airbus
They are cleared for at least some use on this project per the wiki page:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/2014_West_Africa_Ebola_Response#Spot-6
Is there any reason we can't use these where they help for the GNS
naming project?

All fixed for me as well.
Thank you very much!

Hi,
The tasking Manager seems to think I have a task checked out, and the
square for the last task I tried to checkout does show as being worked on.
When I click on the main project entry (Project 586) it automatically
takes me to the task it thinks I am editing (task 290). It then says
