With the Windows HP Director software, I can choose to create a cover
page, and fax documents from the flatbed or ADF on my printer (LaserJet
2840). This is very convenient.
I miss this feature in the hplip software. Currently, I use gscan2pdf
to create a pdf document from the flatbed or ADF
After having problems:
Something wrong happens to hplip after 1.7.1 release
I tried 2.7.6 release hoping it will fix my issues. Still the same problem.
Even worse: I can not print at all! hp-toolbox run in user mode returns:
error: Unable to communicate with device (code=12):
