I cannot proceed in the recommended way:
• If PTBatcherGUI is running, nothing can be done since Hugin is in a
loop (?).
If PTBatcherGUI is not running, start PTBatcherGUI from the File-Run batch
processor or from the start menu. During the starting hold down the control
key. But no reaction;

corresponds with what you described):

What now??? Is PTBatcherGUI or Hugin not responding?
If Hugin is a loop/not responding, PTBatcherGUI should still reacting because
this are 2 different programs.
By the way: I use a MAC with OS X 10.9.5
Only the output normal panorama has the given name alone.
For the exposure fusion output a postfix is automatically appended, as you
observed.
This is not a bug, it's a feature. It is necessary to create different output
types in one run and will not be changed.

Ok, that explains the immediate symptoms, but why did Hugin
automatically choose different output options? I didn't touch any of the
other options, as I explained in my question.
In all, I tried to create a total of 9 panoramas, all of which seem to
have different options:
1) Only X.jpg was
Ah sorry, I'm not used to the Standard User Interface, instead I
choose from menu Benutzeroberfläche - Fortgeschritten r Experte.
There you will see the options I mentioned.
As to the dimmed option I can only guess. You selected JPG as output
format and JPGs are not capable of saving all the
Ah, I see the options you describe when choosing Experte. In there,
the checkbox Mit Belichtungskorrektur, niedriger Dynamikumfang is
enabled and can be checked. This solves the problem. I suppose the
occasional disabling of the checkbox in the simpler interface is a bug?
