Project Gutenberg and the Internet Archive already will host any book
that is in the public domain. (I think they'll take Creative Commons
stuff too). Most of the books are in English because that's the
native language of most of the volunteers, but that could change if it

I am Diego Uribe, creativity & innovation consultant and researcher at the
International Center for Studies in Creativity, Buffalo, NY.
Not too long ago, I approached Walter Bender with the challenge/opportunity of
making Sugar a Trojan Horse for delivering specific creativity
Our friends at Sceren very graciously allotted two corner tables for
the OLPC France - Sugar Labs area. Five of us were there (I myself
couldn't be there most of the day) with XO-1s in abundance. There was
a steady stream of educators, a couple of them involved in NGO
education projects in Africa.

Read Etexts has *not* removed the book search function. However, it
only appears when you launch from the Activity ring, and NOT when you
open a book that is already in the Journal.
As for books with pictures, you can't get those with Read Etexts.
