Folks
Anyone know in which manual can I find the STCCLASS and TSUCLASS initialisation
parameters documented please?
Not in 1.12 JES2 Init Tuning. I suspect that they are synonymous with
JOBCLASS(STC) and JOBCLASS(TSU). I have inherited support for a JES2 system
that has STCCLASS and TSUCLASS

Spooky timing!!
I was just researching the PCCA as we got burned in z/OS 1.12 as the PCCA
pointer in the PSA is now 31 bit address and one of our home grown utilities
failed.
The 1.12 data areas books still say that the following fields are part of the
programming interface:

it in a Parmlib member to make changes more dynamic.
As we have a number (not small) of logon procedures, I considered the logon
exit as a guaranteed point where all users would get the message as opposed
to changing all the logon procs.

For reasons I won't go into, my management have decreed that there must be a
positive acknowledgement by the user that they are on a production system.
I loop in the exit until I get one. Unfortunately using the broadcast

this is a logon exit sits will with the fact that the address space is not
fully established (?).
Has anyone else come across this problem?

Folks
Currently pulling my hair out trying to use this interface!
Prior to z/OS 1.10 we had a utility module that generated output to a
programmatically determined JES2 destid. The utility checked that the destid
existed by running the RDT JES2 control block. It turns out that we should

Hi Listers
Could any of you running z/OS 1.10 please tell me if you have module

I have - and I don't think I should have, but I'm struggling to see where
it's come from!

As this topic has some focus, as an addendum to my original query of last
week, I would be interested to know how you all review Hiper apars. I use
SMP/E ORDER processing every night to get the latest PTFs (and HOLDDATA).
Once per week I run some convoluted SAS process (that I inherited) which

Is there any likelihood of a change in this area?

We are not using shared ZFS (or HFS for that matter). We merged three
plexes into 1 a couple of years ago (for charging reasons), and we only share
the minimum dasd to allow the plex to work (Couple/logger etc). All systems in
the plex are in the same MII-plex, but have their own MAS, RACF d/b,
I have a slightly different requirement, and I have come to the conclusion that
I can’t meet it.
I have a user that wants to share zFSes between a subset of systems within
a 13-way parallel sysplex.
Not all dasd is shared between all members of the sysplex. We merged 3
sysplexes into one and
. but I guess that all systems in the subset have to be converted to have
the new file systems e.g. sysplex root and version? and the sysplex root has
to be AUTOMOVE. Whilst this may work technically, I feel that I might be
buying into a whole stack of trouble!
This will be difficult to

We are in the process of gettting the RACF group recreated.

We have a home-grown utility that reports on various system values (the
usual IPL date/time, sysres volume, software level etc.) It also reports
the IODF dataset name. It retrieves this from the IOVT which is chained
from CVTIXAVL-IOCIOVTP. The IODF dataset name used to be at offset
x'160' down
It appears from the docs that IOCINFO returns the IODF token. The IODF
token does not have to contain the IODF dataset name.
