Yes - it would be a bit silly if it did not. From my interpretation of the parameters, z/OS is trying to make it more likely that you can start an STC (or mount something) when you are short of ASVT slots in the hope that this might keep the system up longer. Rob Scott Rocket Software

I actually had a day off yesterday, so I didn't get to this until today. Don't panic. When you run out of RSVNONR you will use the ASVT slots available from MAXUSER (which you have plenty of). You should increase RSVNONR if you routinely use them up in-between scheduled IPLs. If you are
